The Automotive Sales Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day sales operations, coaching and developing sales professionals, maximizing profitability, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the vehicle purchasing process.

Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate the automotive sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase vehicle sales, gross profit, market share, and customer retention.
- Monitor daily sales activities, appointments, showroom traffic, leads, follow-ups, and closing ratios.
- Coach sales consultants on prospecting, product presentation, negotiation, objection handling, closing techniques, and customer follow-up.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Manage incoming internet, phone, and showroom leads to ensure timely and professional follow-up.
- Maintain strong knowledge of current vehicle inventory, pricing, incentives, financing programs, manufacturer promotions, and competitive products.
- Work closely with the General Manager, Finance & Insurance team, Service Department, and other dealership departments to maximize overall dealership performance.
- Assist sales consultants with customer negotiations and complex transactions while protecting dealership profitability.
- Review and approve vehicle deals in accordance with dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, aging units, pricing, and vehicle merchandising to support efficient inventory turnover.
- Analyze sales reports, KPIs, customer feedback, and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all sales processes comply with company policies, manufacturer requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Train, develop, and retain high-performing sales personnel.
- Establish individual and team sales goals and hold team members accountable for achieving performance expectations.
- Promote a positive, professional, and customer-focused dealership culture.
- Stay current with automotive industry trends, competitor activity, new vehicle technologies, EVs, and changing consumer purchasing behaviors.
- Participate in dealership marketing initiatives, sales events, community activities, and manufacturer programs as required.
- Maintain accurate sales documentation and ensure deals are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Support dealership leadership with forecasting, budgeting, staffing, and strategic sales planning.

- Clean & Clear WA state driving record is required
- Valid and Clear WA state drivers license is required
