Position Summary:
CAS is currently seeking Technology Interns for Summer 2027. These positions will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. This position is working with the technology development operations team. Our Summer Intern Program aims to foster a high level of engagement and learning for participants through in-depth immersion into our working environment with our professional teams. Participants will benefit from exposure to a variety of state-of-the-art software technologies and practices, while also expanding their professional network with CAS staff and fellow interns. These connections offer valuable insights into potential career opportunities.
The Internship will run from May 17th, 2027, to August 6th, 2027.
Job Accountabilities:
Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in the Information Technology field or a related discipline (like Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Computer Engineering)
Familiarity with the following is required:
JavaScript/TypeScript
Basic web application development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
REST APIs and working with JSON data
Data aggregation from multiple systems and APIs
Application monitoring, metrics, and observability
Troubleshooting technical issues and analyzing operational data
Linux command-line
Willingness to learn technologies such as Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus, and Consul
Some experience with ANY of the following is preferred:
Jenkins API integration
Grafana and Prometheus (including PromQL)
Consul and key-value configuration management
Docker fundamentals
Authentication technologies (OAuth/OIDC/SSO)
UX/UI design principles for operational dashboards
Git, branching, and pull request workflows
Agentic AI development
Demonstrated strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, leadership, and documentation skills, with the ability to effectively partner across technical and cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to work independently and thrive in agile software development environments while collaborating closely with development, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
