Pay: $19.00/hour
Ole Tyme Produce is seeking motivated and dependable Case Selectors to join the warehouse operations team in St. Charles, Missouri. This position is responsible for accurately selecting, receiving, loading, and storing fresh produce and other food products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, sanitation, and inventory accuracy.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, works efficiently under productivity expectations, and is committed to accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction. Employees will utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) technology, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to fulfill customer orders and support warehouse operations.
Responsibilities of Case Selector:
- Accurately select customer orders using WMS technology.
- Meet productivity standards of 140-150 cases per hour during standard piece picking operations.
- Load outbound trucks and unload inbound shipments.
- Receive, inspect, and store inventory according to company procedures.
- Rotate inventory using FIFO and FEFO practices.
- Verify product temperatures, traceability, allergen controls, and chain of custody requirements.
- Safely operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and identify non-conforming products.
- Complete all required receiving, inventory, and shipping documentation accurately.
- Maintain clean, organized coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas.
- Conduct routine cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and warehouse work areas.
- Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment and report safety concerns.
- Adhere to customer specifications, company hygiene standards, and workplace safety policies.
Requirements of the Case Selector:
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or order selecting experience
- Experience operating Electric Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS.
- Ability to read, count, and perform basic math calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
- Experience in food distribution, produce distribution, or cold storage a plus.
- Knowledge of fresh produce quality standards and handling procedures.
