Caseworker

Counseling and case management services for individuals within the department of Behavioral Health. Counseling techniques are utilized to engage clients in treatment. Assessment and treatment planning are utilized to help clients reach personal goals. Clients are assisted in obtaining entitlements and linkages to other community resources/services. Outreach activities to clients who are ambivalent about services or who miss appointments.

• Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatric Rehabilitation or mental health related discipline.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Licensure preferred as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) by the State of New Jersey.
• Work requires the ability to counsel and educate consumers and their families and to resolve problems that require the use of basic mental health knowledge.
• Valid driver's license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the SJH insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle.
