Job Description

We are seeking a Cash Application Analyst I to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounts receivable, cash application, and payment reconciliation and a proven ability to apply payments accurately, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close.

Responsibilities:

• Cash application for the CBS TV Stations.
• Review wire transfers and checks received and apply them to customer accounts.
• Create credit/debit memos to adjust AR for chargebacks, refunds, and corrections.
• Collaborate with collections to apply cash to corresponding invoices.
• Prepare daily cash received reports.
• Balance and maintain daily cash receipts accounts, including recording journal entries to the G/L.
• Work with treasury to identify unknown wire transfers.
• Resolve unapplied payments in a timely manner.
• Process manual credit cards, wire transactions, and over-the-counter deposits.
• Post sundry receivables deposited to the miscellaneous lockbox.
• Play an active role during month-end close.
• Assist stations with backup requests for checks and research station inquiries.
• Support special projects related to accounts receivable.
• Produce ad-hoc internal and external audit reports and participate in audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience.
• Experience or knowledge of checks, wire transfers, and payment remittance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Detail orientation with strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with a worldwide team. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Oracle or ERP cash application experience.
• Media industry or high-volume cash processing exposure.

Role Details

• Work Arrangement: Onsite, Nashville office, 5 days per week.
• Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
• Start Date: 11/2/2026 or ASAP.
• End Date: 8/1/2027, 9 months. Extension or hire conversion cannot be guaranteed.
• Interviews: Approximately 2 rounds. No overtime. No travel.
