Job Description

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Cash Applications Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing company in North Houston.

Key Responsibilities

Apply and post customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, lockbox deposits, and checks
Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, deductions, and payment discrepancies
Reconcile cash receipts to customer accounts and bank activity
Maintain accurate customer account records and payment histories
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Customer Service teams to resolve payment issues
Support month-end close activities, reporting, and account reconciliations
Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies

Qualifications

2+ years of cash applications, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience
Experience processing high-volume transactions
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Benefits

Pay: $26-$29/per hour
