Position SummaryThe Cash Management Specialist supports daily cash operations to ensure accurate and timely cash movement across multiple platforms. Key responsibilities include initiating ACH transactions, issuing checks, preparing bank and vendor files (e.g., wires, pushes, pulls), and reconciling cash accounts. The role also involves verifying daily cash totals, researching outstanding items, and coordinating with plan managers to resolve discrepancies. Additional duties include maintaining transaction records in QuickBooks, correcting out-of-balance conditions, and assisting with complex cash management tasks to uphold the integrity of plan records. Strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of company-wide cash flow are essential.Position ResponsibilitiesInitiate incoming and outgoing ACH transactions from the Clearing account.Create, verify, and mail outgoing checks.Generate cash management reports for review and identification of outstanding items.Research outstanding cash.Communicate with plan managers concerning outstanding cash and instructions.Generate files for bank and vendor submissions.Utilize cash management utility to move funding and track transactions.Verify daily totals.Monitor daily positive pay.Handle complex cash management transactions and corrections to ensure accuracy of plan records.Reconcile daily cash activity, including detection of out‑of‑balance conditions and resolution of returned funds.Enter and update details of cash management transactions into QuickBooks.Assist with system upgrade testing prior to production implementation.Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.Perform other related duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.Essential Skills4-Year degree or equivalent experience.Ability to reconcile and balance cash transactions.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks.Conduct thorough research and analyze information to support decision-making and resolve complex issues.Professional demeanor and good communication skills with the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrate strong organizational skills including record keeping, time management, and follow-up.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency; ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality and accuracy of work.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deal with interruptions while meeting timely deadlines.Beneficial SkillsPrevious retirement plan administration experience.
