As a Cashier Administrative Support team member, you will play an important role in supporting daily branch operations, providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and keeping administrative tasks organized and running smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with cashiering duties. Our schedule starts early, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys getting an early start to the day.

Position Summary

The Cashier / Administrative Support team member provides front-office assistance, supports customer transactions, and performs administrative and financial duties to help ensure efficient daily branch operations.

Essential Functions:

Administrative Support

• Answer incoming phone calls, direct calls to the appropriate team members, and take and distribute accurate messages.
• Greet customers and provide professional, courteous service.
• Maintain organized office files, records, and storage systems.
• Prepare and send requested invoices to customers with credit accounts.
• Assist with general administrative tasks and provide support to the branch team as needed.

Cashiering and Financial Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases and collect payments by cash, check, or credit card.
• Accurately make change and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Verify payment authorization and follow established procedures for processing customer transactions.
• Complete daily sales and cashier closeout procedures.
• Prepare cash deposits for delivery to the bank.
• Manage petty cash distribution and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with invoicing and related financial documentation.
• Follow established cash-handling, checkout, and payment-processing procedures.
• Report discrepancies, procedural concerns, or needed improvements to management.

Workplace Safety and Teamwork

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with branch team members to support daily operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous office, administrative, cashiering, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with email, internet applications, and electronic communication tools.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Business or office administration coursework is a plus.
