Cashier Position - Part-Time

At Lindell's, we pride ourselves on being your local hardware store and a vital part of the community. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated cashier to join our team. Join us and help create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers!

Main Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly as they enter and leave the store
• Manage transactions with a cash register and ensure accuracy
• Balance the cash register at the end of your shift
• Scan goods and confirm pricing and quantities
• Accept various payment methods (cash, credit, check)
• Provide change and receipts to customers
• Handle coupons, vouchers, and gift cards
• Process returns and refunds, addressing customer complaints
• Bag and wrap goods securely for customers
• Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with POS systems and cash registers
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong math skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Capability to resolve complaints effectively

Schedule

• Part-time position with weekend availability
• 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
• On-site work at our local store
