CASHIER The cashier is responsible for running the cash register while providing a warm and courteous experience for our customers. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - The cashier is responsible for running the cash register while providing a warm and courteous experience for our customers.
- Welcoming customers, answering questions, helping to locate items or a specialist for their needs, and providing recommendations when necessary.
- Operating scanners, cash register, and other electronics.
- Balancing the cash register and generating reports for management/daily use.
- Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer.
- Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
- Bagging purchases to ensure safe transport, offer to carry large items to customer’s vehicle.
- Following all store procedures regarding coupons and gift cards.
- Maintaining a clean work space.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS: - Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- High Level of energy with strong customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent customer service
- Attention to detail
