Cashier

The cashier is responsible for handling cash, credit, or debit card transactions with customers, ensuring that purchases are processed accurately and efficiently. The cashier provides an engaging and friendly experience for customers, answers any questions about products or promotions, and helps maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Transaction​s: Scan items, calculate totals, handle cash, credit, and debit payments, and ensure accurate change.
  
• Customer Assistance: Greet customers, answer inquiries, and provide product information as needed.
  
• Inventory Support: Assist in stocking shelves and organizing displays near the cash register.
  
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area neat and sanitized.
  
• Handle Returns and Exchanges: Process refunds and exchanges according to store policy.
  
• Balance Cash Register: Count the register's cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and report any discrepancies.
  
• Follow Safety and Security Procedures: Ensure proper handling of cash and protect customer information.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not always required.
