Lovettsville Cooperative Market is looking for a friendly and dependable Part-Time Cashier/Store Associate to join our team in Lovettsville, VA! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a community-focused cooperative where your work truly makes a difference for local shoppers every day.



Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service to all shoppers and co-op members
• Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain a clean, organized store environment
• Assist with receiving and processing merchandise and deliveries
• Monitor and maintain product displays and signage throughout the store
• Support fellow team members across departments as needed during shifts
• Follow all store policies, food safety guidelines, and loss prevention procedures

Requirements:

• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, flexible availability including weekends
• Basic math skills and comfortable handling cash and point-of-sale systems
• Passion for community, local products, and cooperative values is a must
