As Catering Sales Manager, you will drive banquet food and beverage sales, curate elevated client experiences, and bring unforgettable events to life in Chattanooga's most iconic hotel.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Drive Sales & Revenue: Proactively solicit new and existing accounts via phone calls, emails, site tours, and client entertainment to hit and exceed sales goals.

• Optimize Function Space: Manage the event diary and allocate room space strategically to maximize hotel revenue.

• Curate Upscale Events: Partner with clients to design upscale menus, custom event agendas, and personalized tastings.

• Coordinate & Execute: Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), draft contracts, and communicate all operational details to hotel teams for flawless execution.

• Deliver On-Site Hospitality: Assist during live events, conduct property tours, host client entertainment, and resolve guest concerns with grace.

• Represent the Brand: Participate in industry trade shows, community events, and market networking to showcase hotel facilities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Sales Background: 2+ years of hotel sales experience required (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Focus on weddings and special celebratory events preferred.

• F&B Experience: Minimum 1 year in food & beverage; experience in luxury, lifestyle, or independent hotels preferred.

• Tech & Contract Savvy: Proficiency in Delphi software, or similar, preferred alongside strong negotiation and contract skills.

• Drive to Succeed: A fast-paced, proactive sales approach with an understanding of market trends and revenue strategy.

• Refined Demeanor: Exceptional communication, problem-solving skills, and a warm demeanor that embodies the timeless hospitality of The Read House.

• Commitment to Quality: Strong attention to detail with a dedication to provide premier event execution.

• Flexibility: Maintain punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires. Up to 20% local travel for outside sales calls, off-site industry events, and client meetings.
