CDL-A Entry Level Driver

Capital Region drivers: grocery store deliveries with no touch freight and a work week you can plan around.

Just finished CDL school? This account trains new drivers.

Your paycheck

• $1,500 average weekly gross
• About 2,000 miles a week
• $10 for the first stop, $15 for each stop after
• $15 extra on short runs
• $850 a week while you train

How the schedule works

• 5 day or 6 day work weeks, or longer stretches with home time set in advance
• Live within 200 miles and you are home weekly for your 34 hour reset, and you can take the truck home
• Day and night shifts are open
• Weekends, holidays and winter driving are part of the job

Questions new drivers ask

• “Do I unload the trailer?” No. This is no touch freight.
• “Am I home every night in training?” No. You ride with your mentor while you train. The schedule above starts when you go solo.
• “Does my CDL school count?” If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
