Three numbers matter on this job: $800, $1,000 and $1,800.
$800 is what you earn every week while you train. That's 3 to 5 weeks with a mentor, about 200–250 hours behind the wheel.
$1,000 is the least you'll make in any week for your first 3 months solo.
$1,800 is the top of what solo drivers on this fleet average each week. The range runs $1,200 to $1,800, which is $62,400 to $93,600 a year.
We're hiring new CDL-A drivers in Lubbock, Slaton, Idalou and the South Plains.
Where you'll run
Dry van OTR in the 27 states from Colorado east, with no New England or Northeast. That means wide-open interstate, not city gridlock. You'll run 1,800–2,400 miles a week, a mix of drop and hook, preloads and live loads. You're home every 2 to 3 weeks, and you can ask for holidays off.
