We're hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a regional intermodal position based in San Antonio, TX. This opportunity offers steady year-round freight, modern equipment, competitive hourly plus mileage pay, and a predictable regional schedule with only a few overnight layovers each week.
Drivers transport no-touch intermodal container freight between rail facilities, distribution centers, and customer locations throughout the regional operating area.
Pay & Compensation
- Average Weekly Earnings:$1,350–$1,450
- Average Annual Earnings: Approximately $76,305
- Mileage Pay:$0.32 CPM
- Day Shift:$11.30/hour + $0.32 CPM
- Night Shift:$14.80/hour + $0.32 CPM
- Weekend Shift:$16.95/hour + $0.32 CPM
- Weekly direct deposit
Compensation is a combination of hourly pay and mileage. Actual weekly earnings vary based on miles driven, shift worked, and freight volume.
Home Time & Schedule
- Regional operation
- Approximately 2–3 overnight layovers during a typical 5-day workweek
- Consistent year-round freight
- Exact start times and schedules assigned by dispatch
What You'll Do
- Safely transport intermodal containers between rail yards, customer locations, and distribution centers
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete electronic logs and required paperwork
- Follow all DOT safety regulations
- Communicate with dispatch regarding load assignments
- Perform standard chassis inspections and secure containers properly
This is a no-touch freight position.

Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL

- Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, and physical
- Comfortable operating in rail yards and intermodal environments
- Must be available for regional routes with approximately 2–3 layovers per week
