CDL-A Truck Driver Trainee

Stay in the eastern part of the country, get home every two weeks, and earn $850 a week while you learn. That's how this regional dry van job starts for brand new drivers.

Pay Breakdown

• $850 per week for 4 to 6 weeks of training
• $1,000 weekly guarantee for your first 3 months solo
• Average weekly pay $1,000 to $1,500
• $15 stop pay plus performance bonus

Freight and Routes

• Regional loads, no dedicated customer
• 1,800 to 2,300 miles a week
• Typically home for most holidays if you want them

Equipment

• Late model Freightliners, average about 1.5 years old
• Automatics and 10 speeds
• Pets and riders after training

Requirements

• 21+, valid Class A CDL, 120+ hours CDL school
• New CDL holders welcome. Experienced: 6 months in the past year or 12 months in the past 5
• DD214 accepted for military experience
• Max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no serious ones in 12 months
• No major preventable accidents in 5 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 to 10 years
• Hair and urine drug testing, 3 years of verifiable employment
