Bear Staffing is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver / Installation Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading provider of modular buildings and mobile workspace solutions in Otsego, MN.

This hands-on role combines approximately 60% commercial driving and 40% installation work. You will transport modular buildings and mobile offices, assist with installation and anchoring at customer locations, and retrieve units for return to the branch.

The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, using tools, and taking on responsibilities beyond the driver s seat.

The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client.

Primary Responsibilities

Commercial Driving Approximately 60%

• Operate company toter trucks and associated equipment to transport modular buildings and mobile trailers.

• Ensure loads are properly loaded and meet applicable weight requirements.

• Review daily transportation schedules and coordinate with supervisors and other drivers.

• Complete vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.

• Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, timesheets, and load documentation.

• Follow DOT requirements and company transportation and safety procedures.

• Keep assigned equipment in good working condition.

• Assist with yard operations as needed.

Installation Approximately 40%

• Install and anchor modular buildings and mobile trailers at customer locations.

• Prepare units for pickup and retrieve them for return to the branch.

• Use hand and power tools to complete installation and removal work.

• Work safely around heavy equipment and active construction sites.

• Communicate professionally with customers and branch personnel.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver s License.

• Clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

• At least 12 months of commercial driving experience within the past three years.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to meet required DOT qualifications and obtain or maintain applicable DOT certification.

• Ability to pass required background screenings and meet DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

• Basic mechanical skills for truck and equipment upkeep.

• Ability to follow directions, complete documentation, and organize daily work.

• Ability to safely operate equipment associated with oversized loads.

Preferred:

• Three to five years of CDL driving experience.

• Construction, installation, or general labor experience.

• Carpentry experience.

• Experience transporting modular buildings or mobile offices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing at least 50 pounds.

• Ability to perform physical work, including climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

• Ability to use hand and power tools, including air impact tools weighing up to 30 pounds.

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to work safely around heavy machinery, noise, dirt, dust, and grease.

• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures.

This is a safety-sensitive position subject to applicable FMCSA/DOT regulations and company drug and alcohol policies.
