    Description

    Job Title: Class A CDL Driver

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our paving crew. This role involves transporting heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites, assisting with loading/unloading, and working closely with the paving team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Safely operate Class A vehicles including dump trucks, lowboys, and equipment trailers.
    • Transport paving equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, etc.) to various job sites.
    • Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
    • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report and document maintenance needs.
    • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
    • Maintain accurate logs and delivery records.
    • Communicate with dispatch, foremen, and crew members regarding scheduling and deliveries.
    • Assist paving crew with site prep, traffic control, or other duties as needed when not driving.

    Qualifications:
    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience operating Class A commercial vehicles (experience hauling construction equipment preferred).
    • Working knowledge of DOT safety regulations and compliance.
    • Ability to operate trailers, including flatbeds and lowboys.
    • Physical ability to assist with loading, tarping, chaining down equipment, and labor duties on site.
    • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
    • Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
