Join a well-established equipment manufacturer and service provider supporting specialized equipment for construction, utility, municipal, and industrial projects throughout Southwest Florida. This is a field-based position that combines CDL driving, equipment transportation, customer service, and hands-on mechanical work. The role is responsible for delivering, setting up, troubleshooting, and retrieving equipment at customer job sites while ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally. This is not an over-the-road driving position. Most work is performed locally, and employees return home daily. Candidates should be comfortable operating a CDL vehicle, working outdoors, and assisting with equipment setup, loading, unloading, and basic mechanical tasks in the field.
Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a CDL flatbed truck to transport equipment to and from customer job sites
* Deliver, install, set up, and retrieve equipment at construction, utility, and industrial projects
* Perform equipment loading, unloading, securement, and transportation activities
* Assist with equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs
* Support Field Mechanics with troubleshooting and service work as needed
* Conduct thorough load securement and safety inspections before departing the branch
* Complete driver logs, inspection reports, and required DOT documentation
* Review equipment condition and report maintenance concerns
* Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries, pickups, and service visits
* Follow all company safety procedures, DOT regulations, and job site requirements
* Assist with occasional warehouse and yard activities as needed
Qualifications:
* Valid CDL License required
* Current DOT Medical Card required
* Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with equipment, vehicles, or machinery
* Ability to identify common mechanical components and support basic maintenance activities
* Ability to safely load, unload, transport, and secure equipment
* Comfortable working outdoors in varying job site conditions
* Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
* Flexible to work overtime
