Position Summary:

The Central Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the Oshkosh Area School District's Central Office building. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for visitors, staff, families, students, and stakeholders. The receptionist manages incoming communications, directs inquiries to appropriate departments, and ensures the efficient operation of the front desk. This role is critical in fostering positive interactions and ensuring smooth daily operations at the Central Office of the Oshkosh Area School District.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the receptionist for the central administration office.

  • Greet and assist visitors, students, parents, and staff, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.

  • Respond to inquiries and provide general information regarding district services and policies.

  • Monitor visitor access and enforce security protocols in accordance with district guidelines.

  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and manuals using appropriate technology.

  • Manage the scheduling and reservation of all central office conference rooms.

  • Maintain professional interpersonal relationships and a thorough understanding of established district procedures.

  • Uphold strict confidentiality of district information.

  • Maintain and update the community events page on the district website.

  • Maintain and update school supply lists on the district website; coordinate with local retailers to ensure availability for families.

  • Maintain district summer information and signage.

  • Receive and document complaints; communicate relevant information to central administrators.

  • Manage Human Resources purchase requests and receiving processes within Qmlativ.

  • Track and assist with new hire onboarding documentation (e.g., I-9, W-4 forms).

  • Complete employment verification requests for licensure purposes.

  • Provide general support to the Human Resources Department as needed.

  • Assist the Student Information Systems Manager with data entry tasks.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the team process for continuous improvement.

  2. Participate in relevant meetings and activities.

  3. All other duties as assigned.
