Large Midland Medical Office seeking a Central Scheduler on a temporary basis.
Job Duties:
Provides scheduling functions for all assigned scheduled department procedures
Schedules procedures via the hospital information system following established protocols
Coordinates scheduling directly with the technologist and physician (if needed)
Answers questions regarding insurance coverage, estimated patient liability, and collecting from a patient
Maintains the flow of communication within central scheduling, including answering the telephone and providing information and directions for patients and other guests
Identifies the need for and obtains from the physician office all pre-certifications required by payers on all scheduled procedures
Requirements:
Strong phone skills
Strong computer knowledge
Course in medical terminology or hospital/physician office experience preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively orally or in writing
High school diploma or equivalent.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ( OT available)
Salary:
$19.00/hour
