Centralized Scheduler

Shifts Available: Days

Hours: 8:30am to 5pm Monday - Friday 

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, Tx.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

• Directly accountable to the Admitting Leadership the Centralized Scheduler routinely schedules tests/procedure cases for all patients where services occur as a scheduled event. This may include, but is not limited to; Clinic visits, Surgery, G.I. Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Nutritional Services, Infusion units or any other location where scheduling of a test or procedure may occur.
• Coordinates with departments as necessary.
• Ensures that accurate, complete and thorough patient demographics are entered into the computer system, including insurance and authorizations if applicable.
• Notifies departments as necessary of various services that may require, equipment, instrumentation and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled surgeries.
• Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on call list to appropriate departments or personnel.
