We are looking for a hands-on technician who can confidently handle a variety of maintenance responsibilities, including HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, apartment turns, and resident service requests. The ideal candidate will have a strong maintenance background, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to residents and onsite management.

Position Overview

As a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing service requests, maintaining occupied and vacant units, assisting with apartment turns, and ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and attractive. This role requires strong technical knowledge across multiple trades and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced multifamily environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
• Perform electrical repairs and diagnostics
• Complete plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
• Diagnose and repair residential appliances
• Perform carpentry repairs and general maintenance tasks
• Assist with unit turns, punch lists, and make-ready preparation
• Inspect vacant apartments and ensure move-in readiness
• Maintain community standards and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and property management
• Utilize maintenance tools and equipment safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required

• EPA or HVAC Certification required

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and repair

• Experience with:

• Electrical repairs

• Plumbing repairs

• Appliance diagnostics and repair

• Carpentry and general maintenance

• Apartment turns and make-readies

• Strong understanding of general and advanced maintenance functions

• Must provide and maintain your own tools

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills

• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, climbing stairs, bending, and standing for extended periods
