BG Staffing is seeking an experienced and Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a multifamily community in Norristown, PA 19401. Position Overview

As a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance operations of the community, including service requests, preventative maintenance, repairs, and apartment turnovers. Your work will directly impact resident satisfaction and help maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the property.

This assignment is currently listed as approximately one month in length as a placeholder, but the duration may be shorter, longer, or potentially lead to a temp-to-permanent opportunity based on property needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues throughout the community
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and drains
• Perform electrical repairs, fixture replacements, and equipment maintenance
• Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs in accordance with certifications and experience
• Repair drywall, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and other interior finishes
• Maintain and repair household appliances
• Inspect vacant units to ensure move-in readiness
• Maintain community amenities, common areas, and property grounds as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with residents and team members

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Maintenance certification(s) required
• HVAC/EPA certification strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and general carpentry
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the workday

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday-Friday
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Fridays end two hours early
• $22.00 per hour
