About the Role: Sanatio Health Inc is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Biller/Coder to join our growing healthcare team in Oxford, AL. Responsibilities:
Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records and medical documentation
Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid
Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and appeals in a timely manner
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to billing
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer-specific billing guidelines
Conduct charge entry, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up
Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
Requirements:
Active certification required: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, or equivalent credential from AAPC or AHIMA
Minimum 2 years of medical billing and coding experience
Proficient knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software
Strong understanding of insurance claim submission and denial management
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
