Spurwink is hiring Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) for our newly opened Lewiston Crisis Center, which offers a warm, welcoming environment for individuals ages 14+ experience urgent behavioral health needs. As an alternative to hospitalization or law enforcement intervention, we provide stabilization, observation, assessment, and short-term intervention in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive environment - open 24/7, 365 days a year, promoting safety, dignity, and recovery.DUTIESKnowledge of and maintain community relationships/resources.Coaches participants towards developing satisfying, hopeful and fulfilling lives as defined by the program.Assist participants in identifying and pursuing their recovery goals.Maintain records, EHR, and documentation as required by Spurwink or State Agencies.Develops and maintains effective working relationships with participant's Treatment Team.Actively uses relevant aspects of motivational interviewing, life coaching, WRAP, and peersupport to engage participants.Complies with agency policies and procedures.Clearly respects the need for participant confidentiality.Assist clients with wellness needs by encouraging healthy habits, i.e., quitting smoking, losingweight, healthy eating, etc.Links clients with primary care providers and medical care.Creates and maintains working relationships with community health providers.Support participant with scheduling, making and actively engaging in medical, psychiatric, anddental appointments.QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) certification and/or Certified Recovery Coach certification required.
