Job Description

We are hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant position in Michigan. The role requires 1–2 weeks of initial onsite training, followed by a fully remote work arrangement. We are looking for Michigan-based candidates with a valid Medical Assistant certification and BLS certification.

Job Responsibilities

Assist patients with appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and care coordination over the phone.
Review and update patient medical records using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Respond to patient inquiries through phone calls, emails, and electronic communication.
Coordinate prescription refill requests and communicate with healthcare providers.
Monitor patient messages and route clinical concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
Assist with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorization processes.
Provide patient education and basic clinical support through virtual communication.
Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care.
