Certified Medical Physicist (MS or PhD) El Paso

Overview:

 

Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D or M.S.) to join our El Paso Team!   Our El Paso locations are home to 12 Hematologists/Oncologists, 2 Board Certified Radiation Oncologists, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and a Physician Assistant.  We also offer in house labs, imaging, and have a full-time Oncology pharmacist.  Our centers handle an average of 110 patients per day, including SRS, SBRT, and HDR programs.

Qualifications:

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university. 
• Must be ABR certified, or have completed a CAMPEP approved residency and be board eligible, and have working experience in a clinical environment.
• Minimum two to five years’ experience in clinical radiation physics. 
• Texas Medical Board license required.

Must be able to stand for 8 hours; lift 40 pound block to shoulder level; have sufficient visual acuity to distinguish structures and isodose displays on computer monitor. Additionally, must be able to align treatment field and monitor patient during radiation therapy treatment.
