Our Medication Aides play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents through accurate medication administration, prescribed treatments, and attentive monitoring. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing safe, consistent, and person-centered support while respecting each resident’s dignity, independence, and individual needs.

 

Location: Gable House

Schedule: Flexible, as needed. Greatest need on Friday - Monday. 

Pay: Starting at $22/hr

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer medications according to each resident’s service plan and orders from licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Provide prescribed treatments in accordance with established orders and procedures.
  • Accurately document all medication administration and treatments.
  • Communicate with pharmacies regarding medication changes, refills, missing medications, and other medication-related needs.
  • Communicate with licensed healthcare professionals regarding medication concerns, errors, changes in condition, or other resident needs.
  • Complete required medication counts and medication safety procedures.
  • Monitor residents and promptly communicate changes, concerns, incidents, or accidents according to established procedures.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation related to medications, treatments, and resident status.
  • Follow all applicable CFS Senior Holdings policies and procedures, medication protocols, infection prevention practices, and state and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect resident information.
  • Participate in required staff meetings, training, competency evaluations, and other organizational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the resident care team to promote safe, consistent, and high-quality resident care.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promptly report safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
