Lenawee Medical Care Facility is proud to serve senior care patients through a holistic approach. Our nursing home is set up in mini-communities that are clean, vibrant and active, exhibiting an at-home atmosphere that is personalized for each resident. We offer traditional nursing services such as therapy, hospice care, long-term care, and skilled nursing. Our rehabilitative therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, along with therapeutic recreation.

We have offer 8-hour shifts and have both full-time and part-time openings on 2nd shift.

Requirements for Employment

• Completed a State Approved Nursing Assistant Certification Training Program, competency evaluated, tested and registered with the State of Michigan.

• Provide proof of a High School Diploma or GED

• Pass a Criminal Background Check, Pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen

Job Summary

• Perform direct resident care under the supervision of a professional nurse. Participate and report pertinent information concerning residents.

• Follow universal precautions and proper infection control techniques, as well as maintain a clean work environment.

• Work cooperatively with elders, visitors, nurses, resident care providers, physicians, families, consulting personnel, ancillary services and surveyors.

• Be in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations within the control of Certified Nursing Assistants.

• Attend to resident's nutritional needs, which includes handling and preparation of food and fluid.

• Assist with housekeeping duties as assigned.

Working conditions include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and reaching frequently. Possible exposure to conditions normally expected of resident care areas, such as unpleasant sights, odors and difficult interpersonal situations. Potential for injury and exposure to blood and body fluids and communicable diseases.

Physical Demands include ability to lift up to 20 pounds; moving, lifting or transferring of residents may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than 100 pounds; ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work up to 16 hours per day as needed to meet the care needs of our residents.
