Job Description
A health services network in New York City is seeking a new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team at one of their addiction treatment and recovery center in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift and evening shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday and every other weekend
- Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM; 35 hours per week
- Setting: In-person
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Provide support during detoxification and rehabilitation processes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive patient environment
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a detox, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Basic knowledge of addiction and recovery processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience using SigmaCare
- Experience supporting psychiatric evaluations and HIV counseling and testing
