Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – PRN Contract | $30/hr | Day or Night Shift
TEEMA is hiring local Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a PRN contract opportunity at a state-supported veterans care facility in Arizona. This role is a good fit for a dependable CNA who is comfortable with long-term care, hands-on resident support and 12-hour day or night shifts as needed.
This is a local-only opportunity. Candidates must already live in Arizona and be available for an in-person interview within one week of the posting close date.

Shift Options: 12-hour shifts, 6:00–6:30 day or night shift
Hours: 40 hours per week is not guaranteed
Start Date: Tentative start date depends on interview completion, onboarding completion and state agency PO approval

As a CNA, you will assist Veterans and members with daily care, comfort, safety and mobility in a structured healthcare setting. Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene and other activities of daily living
Supporting nursing staff with simple medical procedures such as suppositories, enemas, treatments, post-surgical care and post-mortem care
Monitoring physical and mental status by taking vital signs, tracking intake/output and obtaining urine, sputum or stool samples as directed
Assisting residents with dining, including transporting them to the dining room, communicating meal choices and helping with meals as needed
Responding promptly and respectfully to patient requests and call lights
Maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary care environment by changing bedding, linens and other assigned items
Reporting changes or concerns to licensed nursing staff quickly and appropriately
Assisting in emergency situations according to facility policies and procedures
Transporting Veterans/Members to appointments outside the facility when needed
Completing documentation, worksheets, records and simple reports accurately
Supporting clerical duties such as answering phones, filing and related tasks as assigned
Participating in quality improvement processes, huddle boards, problem solving, success tracking and standardized work activities
Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Arizona
Experience providing hands-on patient or resident care
Comfort working with Veterans, older adults or long-term care populations
Ability to follow care plans, nursing instructions and facility procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Reliable attendance and flexibility for PRN scheduling
Ability to maintain a safe, clean, respectful and therapeutic care environment
Comfort documenting care and maintaining accurate records
