Certified Nursing Assistant

Position Overview

Abacus Corporation is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support patient care at Fulton State Hospital. Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.

• Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical and emotional well-being to nursing staff.

• Assist with vital signs and document observations as directed.

• Support patient safety and maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment.

• Follow infection prevention, safety, confidentiality, and facility procedures.

• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team.

• Assist with patient observation and other duties within the scope of the assigned role and training.

• Treat all patients with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or other qualifications accepted for the assigned position.

• Previous healthcare or direct patient care experience preferred.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to remain professional and calm in a behavioral health setting.

• Ability to follow instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere to safety procedures.

• Successful completion of required background checks, screenings, and facility onboarding.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, and assisting patients as needed.
