Certified Nursing Assistant

Saratoga Medical has a wonderful opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant in Lexington, KY.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed a CNA training program approved by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), and passed the competency evaluation
• Registered and in good standing with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry, with KY continuing education current
• Current BLS certification
• U.S. citizen
• Must pass a drug screen, background check (NCIC, fingerprints, SF-85), and credit check (favorable credit required)
• Negative TB test (initial and annual) and Hepatitis B vaccine record or signed declination
• Able to stand for long periods and walk distances
• No experience required. Correctional or behavioral health experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist RNs and LPNs with care for psychiatric and long-term medical/surgical inmates
• Bedside care and help with activities of daily living (dressing, feeding, bathing, hygiene)
• Vital signs, weights, and intake/output, charted in the EMR
• Ambulation, transfers, positioning, and safety restraints as directed
• Specimen collection, dressing changes, admissions/discharges, and postmortem care
• Restocking supplies, infection control, and starting BLS in emergencies
