    Description

    We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

    About the Role:

    The Certified Nursing Assistant plays an essential role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings. This position involves assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring their health status, and providing support to nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Certified Nursing Assistant serves as a link between patients and the healthcare team, helping to maintain patient comfort, dignity, and safety. Through direct patient interaction, Certified Nursing Assistants contribute to the overall care plan by observing and reporting changes in patient conditions promptly. Ultimately, this role is essential in fostering a supportive environment that promotes healing and well-being for patients under their care.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state of employment.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of an accredited CNA training program.
    • Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
    • Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
    • Relevant education may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
    • CPR and First Aid certification.
    • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Additional training or certification in specialized care areas such as geriatrics or rehabilitation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
    • Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
    • Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and patient care tasks as directed.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
    • Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing team promptly.
    • Help with patient transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores and promote circulation.
    • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
