Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Hayward, CA. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in developing, recovering, and maintaining the skills needed for daily living and functional independence.

This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitative care in a collaborative clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activity programs
  • Observe, document, and report patient progress and response to treatment
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and assistive devices
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with facility standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery goals

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
  • Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
  • Entry-level candidates with less than one year of experience will be considered
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare setting
