What you will be doing: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)- Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing.
- Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on participants’ individual treatment plans.
- Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
- Document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, and endurance, and other factors affecting independence in performing ADLs.
Experience you will need: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)- Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate’s degree from an accredited program.
- Valid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
- Minimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
- OTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
