Certified Public Accountant

Description
Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a Public Accountant who will support a growing book of business by owning the preparation of SCorporation, Partnership, and select CCorporation tax returns, along with related accounting and client communication. This role is ideal for a selfdriven public accounting professional who can independently manage multiple returns, proactively gather client information, and identify future tax and accounting needs.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review SCorporation and Partnership tax returns as the primary focus
- Complete tax returns efficiently, while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Perform endtoend tax preparation, including reviewing prioryear filings, analyzing financials, and finalizing returns.
- Handle QuickBooks accounting from AtoZ, including bank reconciliations, bookkeeping cleanup, and currentyear account maintenance.
- Proactively request, track, and follow up on client information needed to complete returns, including financial statements, K1s, payroll data, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate directly with clients to clarify transactions, resolve discrepancies, and gather information for upcoming tax work.
- Manage tax extensions while simultaneously preparing currentyear accounting and future filings.
- Identify opportunities for additional or future work, including amended returns, extensions, or tax planning needs.
- Balance daytoday tax production with outofservice work, ensuring deadlines are consistently met during peak periods.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Public accounting experience, with a strong focus on tax return preparation.
- CPA Certification
- Handson experience preparing SCorporation and Partnership tax returns (CCorp experience preferred).
- Proven experience using QuickBooks, including fullcycle bookkeeping and bank reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with professional tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte or similar).
- Ability to work independently and selfmanage workload with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable working up to 55 hours per week including weekends during tax season (February 1st - April 15th).

- Experience with Intuit Lacerte.
