Maryland state RN and CRNA licensing renewal fees, AANA fees, and malpractice insurance will be paid by Mercy Medical Center.

Responsibilities:

CRNAs will work in a collaborative environment evaluating their patients pre-operatively, formulating the anesthetic plan, and administering the anesthesia autonomously, including arterial and central lines and blocks. An anesthesiologist is available for consultation and help if needed. Approximately 20,000 cases are done annually. Cases include OB, spine, ortho, general surgery, GYN (oncology and benign), DaVInci, surgical oncology, plastic and breast surgery as well as fast-turnover cystoscopy and endoscopy cases. There is minimal amount of healthy pediatric cases, no cardiac or trauma. The majority of cases will be same day care or same day admit. Patients may range from ASA 1-4.

 

Call is minimal, usually 5-10 shifts in a year; more is also available if desired. Other opportunities for overtime include coverage for elective cases on Saturday, weekend OB shifts, and occasional extra time during weekdays.

Qualifications:
  • Maryland Board of Nursing CRNA license
  • Board Certification - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
