Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer and dealership standards
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and drivability concerns
- Utilize Ford diagnostic equipment and special service tools to identify vehicle issues accurately
- Conduct vehicle inspections and recommend additional repairs when necessary
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations with Service Advisors
- Complete warranty repairs in accordance with Ford Motor Company guidelines
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and technician notes
- Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications
- Ford Certified Technician required
- ASE Certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of automotive service technician experience
- Previous Ford dealership experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills
- Experience with drivability diagnostics and advanced troubleshooting
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and service software
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
