Certified Surgical Technologist - Contract

Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech 
Duration: 13 week
Location:1555 Long Pond Rd Rochester, NY 14626
Schedule: Day Shift 4*10s 40hour/week

• Certifications: CST (NBSTSA required)

• Experience: 3+ years preferred; experience across 12 service lines

• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted

• Local Candidates: Not accepted; must be 75+ miles from facility

• Call: Required — 6 shifts per 8-week contract, including weekends/holidays

• EMR: Epic preferred

• Scrubs: Provided

• Exception: CST not required if the traveler worked as a tech in NY before 2015

Required Skills:

• General OR: Gastric bypass/sleeve, lap band, laparoscopic procedures

• Vascular: AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy/angioplasty, EVAR, fem-pop bypass

• ENT: Direct laryngoscopy, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy, tracheostomy

• General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair

• Women's Health: Mastectomy, thyroidectomy, D&C, tubal ligation, cervical cerclage, colporrhaphy

• Neuro/Spine: Craniotomy, VP shunt, laminectomy, discectomy, cervical/lumbar fusion, XLIF

• Orthopedics: Fracture reduction, total hip/knee replacement, carpal tunnel release, bunionectomy

• Robotics/Thoracic: Colorectal robotic surgery, Da Vinci Xi, mediastinoscopy, VATS

• Urology: Cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP, lithotripsy, ureteroscopy

• Other: Decontamination/sterilization, aseptic technique, sharps safety, specimen handling, Universal Protocol/time-out, and management/lead experience
