VCA Hillsboro Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced full time Certified Veterinary Technician to join the team at our AAHA-accredited 4-doctor practice in Coconut Creek.

We provide Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more, open Monday 7:30am - 8pm, Tuesday through Thursday 7:30am - 7pm, Friday 7:30am - 6pm, Saturday 8am - 4pm, closed Sunday.

Compensation: $20 - $24 /hr is based on skill set, and experience.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Technician, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Dentistry
• Medication preparation and administration
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping
