Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Weld Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and compliance of welded components and assemblies, which are used in data center cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding processes, industry codes, and inspection techniques, with a commitment to precision, safety, and continuous improvement. Primary Job Duties:
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and company standards.
• Verify weld procedures, welder qualifications, and welding consumables are in accordance with project requirements.
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) methods as applicable (VT, PT, MT, etc.), and coordinate with third-party NDT services when required.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and weld maps to ensure product conformance.
• Document and report inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions using the company’s quality management system.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in weld audits, root cause analysis, and quality training programs.
• Maintain inspection equipment calibration and ensure traceability of inspection records.
• Uphold and promote the company’s commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
• Other duties as assigned

Primary Competencies:
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications:
• AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and welding inspection within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and other relevant codes.
• Experience with stainless steel and high-performance alloys commonly used in cooling system fabrication.
• Familiarity with pressure vessel, piping, or HVAC component manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, and weld symbol interpretation.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting tools.

Working Conditions:
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000, depending upon experience
