    HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    Job Summary:

    • The Chaplain Pro Re Nata (PRN) provides “as needed” person-centered spiritual care to patients, families, and colleagues.
    • Provides “as needed” objective, patient/family/colleague-centered crisis intervention and spiritual support throughout the institution.

    Reports To: 

    • Director/Pastoral Care/CPE [Clinical Pastoral Education] (job code 018801)
    Supervises: 
    • None

     

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:

    Required Education:

    • One (1) completed CPE unit (minimum) from an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) accredited program and a bachelor’s degree from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) accredited institution.

    Preferred Education:

    • Enrolled in (or completed) a 72-semester hours (minimum) master’s degree program in theology or divinity from a CHEA accredited educational institution. 

    Required Experience: 

    • None

    Preferred Experience:

    • Two (2) or more years of ministry experience in a faith community or other institutional ministry setting. 

    Required Certification/License/Registry:  

    • None

    Preferred Certification/License/Registry:  

    • Ordained minister (or ordained deacon, provided the faith group considers individual to function as a fully ordained minister) in good standing with a faith group.
