Uses evidence-based practice and information technologies (while maintaining focus on providing comfort, relieving pain, and alleviating anxiety) to assist in diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular, minor surgical procedures (e.g., interventional neurovascular and pain management procedures, chemo-embolizations, yttrium-90 (Y-90) radio-embolizations, abscess drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, kyphoplasties, vertebroplasties, gastrostomy tube (g-tube) placements, nephrostomy tube placements, inferior vena cava (IVC) filter insertions and removals, trans-jugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPSS) placements, trans-jugular liver biopsies, sclerotherapies, Pleurx placements, cholecystostomy drains, and biliary drains). Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].
