Responsibilities:
The Executive Chef plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and supervises all aspects of food preparation and service to ensure quality food service to the satisfaction of residents/patients, employees, and visitors. This individual provides technical guidance in food preparation and service techniques to department staff.
*Assures menus, recipes and menu systems are followed to prepare meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance to prescribed resident/patient diets and requests.
*Oversees the timely and accurate preparation of meals, snacks, and nourishments. Ensures satisfaction with meals/foods served.
*Oversees the presentation and service of meals in various dining locations and mealtimes. Coordinates demonstration cooking and point-of -service made to order foods.
*Provides direct and indirect supervision of the Food and Nutrition Services personnel. Utilizes mentoring, working side-by-side and demonstration techniques to improve the skills of the department personnel.
*Adheres to all sanitary and food safety regulations governing handling and serving food. Monitors food and equipment temperatures and acts on temperatures that fall outside of appropriate ranges. Operates equipment in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
*Demonstrated experience as a chef with supervisory/management experience required.
*Serve Safe and other certifications in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the nursing center required.
*High school education or equivalent required.
*Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors to respond to their medical and physical needs

Posted Salary Range:
USD $22.00 - USD $24.00 /Hr.
