Chemical Operator

Berryman's warehouse provides a wide range of chemicals as well as custom tailored products for your industry. We are searching for a Chemical / Petroleum terminal operator, experienced in the transfer of chemical and petroleum liquids by truck, rail and tanks. Job Title: Chemical OperatorEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transloading - loading onto tanks, railcars, and trucks
• Understand pumps and pipelines
• Tank gauging, Railcar gauging
• Tank, Truck, and railcar blending
• Tote and drum filling and handling
• Calculate tank fits, railcar and truck loading calibration quantities
• Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns related to operations
• Work directly with supervisor and operations manager
• Work with other team members to complete the production process

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of terminal operations experience
• Understand chemical and petroleum process
• Aptitude for mechanics
• Basic math skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Meeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, climbing, sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear (PPE)
