We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial transformation of our growing Medicaid Home Health and Hospice organization (~$15M annual revenue). This is a highly operational executive role responsible for rebuilding and modernizing our financial infrastructure while providing strategic leadership to support sustainable growth.
The CFO will have executive oversight of Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Revenue Cycle, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Financial Systems. Key priorities include stabilizing cash flow, cleaning up historical accounting records, strengthening internal controls, optimizing revenue cycle operations, improving collections, modernizing accounting systems, and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is a builder and operator who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to solve day-to-day operational challenges and serving as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors. Success will be measured by improved cash flow, stronger EBITDA, reliable financial reporting, and a scalable finance organization.
Lead all accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions
Serve as principal financial advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors
Audit, reconcile, and clean up 12–24 months of historical accounting records
Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and approval workflows
Modernize accounting systems and improve the monthly close process (target: 10 business days)
Provide executive oversight of Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable
Improve AR aging, accelerate collections, and manage vendor payments and working capital
Oversee Medicaid billing, reimbursement accuracy, payer audits, denials, and appeals
Manage payer contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and fee schedules
Build integrated three-statement financial models and a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
Develop executive dashboards tracking EBITDA, cash flow, AR, collections, and margins
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA strongly preferred
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance or CFO-level responsibility
Demonstrated success leading accounting cleanups, financial turnarounds, or organizational transformations
Strong expertise in GAAP accounting, treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and internal controls
Experience building and leading high-performing accounting and finance teams
Home Health, Hospice, or healthcare industry experience
Medicaid reimbursement and revenue cycle management experience
Experience overseeing Billing, AR, AP, and collections
Knowledge of ADR management, payer audits, and contract management
Experience implementing or modernizing accounting/financial systems
