An established regional property and casualty insurance company is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead financial strategy, modernization, and enterprise finance within a stable organization.

The CFO will report directly to the President and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. The successful candidate will provide leadership across finance, treasury, investments, reinsurance, long-range planning, financial reporting, and enterprise decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n
Report directly to the President and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.
\n
Lead finance strategy, treasury, investments, reinsurance, and long-range financial planning.
\n
Drive modernization of financial systems, processes, reporting, and overall financial operations.
\n
Partner with Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management and support broader enterprise decision-making.
\n
Lead a lean finance organization through the Controller.
\n
Provide strategic financial leadership and support executive-level business decisions.
\n
Strengthen financial processes, controls, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
\n
Support strategic planning and long-term organizational objectives.
\n
Oversee financial activities while maintaining strong statutory accounting and regulatory compliance.
\n

\n
Ideal Background
\n
\n
CFO, Controller, CAO, or senior finance leadership experience within a P&C insurance organization.
\n
Strong statutory accounting experience.
\n
Experience with reinsurance, including Property CAT and excess-of-loss working layers.
\n
Enterprise Risk Management exposure is a plus.
\n
CPA strongly preferred; public accounting experience helpful.
\n
Broad business mindset, leadership presence, and strong problem-solving ability.
\n
Experience leading modernization of systems, processes, and financial operations.
\n
Strong communication and executive leadership skills.
\n
Down-to-earth executive style; not just a purely accounting-focused profile.
